Section 7.11 Council Report

(Formally known as Section 94A)

A Quantity Surveyor is required to estimate the construction cost based on architectural drawings for the council to calculate the monetary contribution levy. The levy is calculated based on a percentage of the total development cost.

A Cost Summary Report must be provided to council for a Development Application (DA) or for the application of a Complying Development Certificate (CDC).  When the calculated cost of the development is more than $100,000 the Cost Summary Report is to be completed by a certified person who is suitably qualified by the Council (generally builders and architects).  The Council may request for developments that are above $500,000 provision of an independent Cost Summary report certified and provided by a registered Quantity Surveyor.

Without a Quantity Surveyor you may potentially be paying higher contribution fees to the council then you need to or even run the risk of undervaluing the costs payable to the council. Duo Tax Quantity Surveyors can take the stress away and ensure that your Section 7.11 is delivered accurately within 2 business days for a competitive fee. You will only pay what you owe, and not a cent more!
