As a team of property investors ourselves, we understand that every dollar counts. Having your own property is a dream that many Australians are working hard towards. Investors toil away for years to put away savings on a deposit for their first property purchase.

Tuan Duong

Principal & Founder

Tuan's inspiration to help everyday Australians get ahead stems from a personal experience of being a property investor first, and a tax depreciation expert second.

As an investor himself, he worked hard to save for his first property purchase and was advised by his accountant to see a quantity surveyor and obtain a tax depreciation schedule.

Despite his strength in Building Economics, his limited knowledge of its application in Australian taxation meant he still had a lot to learn. It was only when he saw how much he saved in tax that he truly understood the significant financial benefits of a tax depreciation schedule.

Knowing that many first-time property investors like himself had no idea about the savings they could make, he set out to combine his expertise in construction with his passion for helping others, and established Duo Tax Quantity Surveyors.

Today, Tuan leads Australia's largest property services organisation, guiding a national team that has helped over 100,000 everyday Australians build wealth through smarter property decisions. Duo Tax now offers a comprehensive range of services, from tax depreciation to property valuation and insurance, supporting clients at every stage of their investment journey.

Tuan is an Affiliate of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and is a Registered Tax Agent on the Tax Practitioners Board. He is supported by a team of CPV Registered Property Valuers and Licensed Property Insurance Representatives.
